Welcome!
I just wanted to give a quick hello to anyone who is viewing this blog. I am new to blogging, so work with me as I figure this whole thing out! I am currently a kindergarten teacher for the Boston Public School system. I work at a dual language school where the students learn both Spanish and English...however I am only monolingual! I try to incorporate as much movement as I can into my classroom because I believe it helps kids learn and keeps them active. My school has such short recess, that any movement throughout the day helps. I will be posting about the types of movement I do with my students along with articles that I find related to movement in the classroom. Hope you enjoy!
Happy moving :)

Becca,
ReplyDeleteWelcome to Blogger! I think it is very interesting you work in a dual language school and are monolingual. I have always wanted to learn Spanish because of my ancestor’s history. My last name is Santos so people always assume I know how to speak Portuguese or Spanish.
I think movement is a great topic! There are so many great activities out there for the kindergarten level. I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Hi Becca,
ReplyDeleteI like your topic. I think movement activities in the classroom is necessary for children to reenergize themselves and to be able to maintain focus on their school work. I am waiting to see what you come up with .
